  1. If anyone from Slave Lake can make it to Edmonton, I have room available for as long as it's needed. I have a spare King bedroom with private bath as well as a spare double bed and twin bed for kids. Pets welcome just send a message on FB you can also call 780-328-7228 anytime tonight or tomorrow.   4. We have room for a family in Legal, north of Edmonton on hwy 2, we can accommodate babies, kids, pets. Lots of toddler beds, playpen, mattresses, etc... We have clothes, tooth brush, etc... You can call us anytime, even at night, at 780-701-2858, we'll keep the phone near tonight if anyone arrives in the area at night. We also have space for one RV.

  5. LOOKING FOR PHOTOGRAPHERS: who might be interested in putting together a Slave Lake Victims mini session Rally and donating all profits for relief efforts or to selected families. Just like the one done for Japan, I believe we can do the same for our own people. Looking to set up a 2 day weekend rally with 4-5 photographers in the Peace Region. 20min sessions for price to be decided, or on minimum donation base.   10. Richmond Park Hall Association and Bob and Audrey Salamon have donated the Richmond Park Hall and land for those who need places for rv's, tents, trailers etc.. There is a playground, baseball diamond, out door arena.. It is close to the town of Athabasca just North of the river. The hall has a kitchen complete with fridge, stove, plates, pots,pans etc. and washrooms. Anyone in need of a place please call Audrey @ 780-675-1903

  14. Hi everyone! First I would like to say thank you to all the fire and emergency personnel that are helping out with this horrible tragedy at the moment! Second I am going to be accepting donations in Calgary at 44 Doverdale Mews for the rest of the week! I will make many trips to various donations centers if necessary! We will accept everything. Toiletries, Clothing, dry goods, pet food and supplies! Everything. I love the Town of Slave Lake and have many friends that live there. I will be accepting donations starting this evening at 6pm!     People have been asking us how they can help the many people who have lost so much in the Slave Lake fires. You can bring your donations of new bedding, towels, toiletries or anything small in size and of use. We will collect your donations at our studios until Thursday at noon. We are at 630 - 3rd Ave SW in Calgary and thank you!!!

  17. We live in Leduc (25 minutes south of Edmonton on Highway 2) and have a queen basement bedroom available (with 1/2 bath upstairs) to anyone needing it!   20. We have a 25' travel trailer in Stettler, AB, for any family in need of a place to stay. It is located at the Rotary campround, close to all anemities. Trailer has water, power, air conditioning, and a separate master bed. Bunkbeds and a fold out table. We also have room for storage in our home/garage if needed! Our vehicle seats seven, could pick family up if needed, as long as you don't mind relocating to Stettler until things have settled. Campground fees will be covered.   21. Hi everyone! Im starting to coordinate a show with proceeds to go to the Red Cross to support those devastated by the fire! Kayla Luky, an old friend and new country break out artist from manitoba is on board and is excited to support the cause! Tentative date is the evening of wednesday June 1st in Westlock. It will be a great night to bring the communities in the surrounding areas together, lift moral, and have a great time! If there are any other musicians interested in helping the cause the more the merrier! As well I am currently doing medical stand-by for the fires in the area so if anyone would be interested in helping out I would love to hear from you!   29. i grew up in slave lake, and my children were growing up there. i now live in whitecourt but i was there with my children and family when the fire hit. my parents and my son lost their home and i need to do everything i can to help. if anyone knows of anything i can do from Whitecourt to help please let me know via facebook

    Have you talked with your insurance company? Everyone who has property insurance has "Mass Evacuation" coverage. It is built into every policy. It provides money immediately for a place to temporarily live and things to keep you going like clothes, food, toiletries, toys for the kids anything

  31. I am one of the people evacuated out of Slave lake and are just overwhelmed with the outpouring of support and aid that my friends and I have recieved in the small community of Smith. Without there help we would be in much worse shape.
    A special thanks goes out to,(Debbie and Clarence) who took total strangers into their home.
    Thanks again to all the volunteers and donations from everybody in Smith and everywhere else. You guys and gals Rock....:)

  32. Bluesky, AB I have a 3 bedroom finished/furnished basement with separate bathroom (kitchen would be shared with myself, my husband and our 10 yr old boy) available to whoever needs it! Stay as long as you need! We live in Bluesky AB (near Fairview AB). My employer has offered to help with food, clothing and toiletries for those who end up taking us up on our offer.
