Evacuated and had to leave your pets behind?
The Edmonton Humane Society has a team in Slave Lake picking up animals that were left behind. Please call our dispatch centre at 780-491-3850 with your name, address, contact information and a description of your pets. ACCOMMODATIONS
Government of Alberta is working with the Town of Slave Lake
and Municipal District of Lesser Slave Lake to soon release a
transition plan for displaced residents staying in evacuation
centres.



School closures include Slave Lake, Gift Lake, Little Buffalo,
Red Earth, Fort McKay and Kinuso. Parents may wish to
enroll their children temporarily in any public school
division in Alberta. Contact High Prairie School Division at
780-523-3337.

  1. Where can I find out if I qualify for disaster relief? I didn't have insurance and am anxious to find out.

    Someone told me that there is money available to people without insurance but her inforamtion was vague.
